Judy Aiello is an interdisciplinary artist working in sculpture, drawing and ceramics.
She is a dedicated yoga practitioner, influenced by global and oceanic teachings. Her work explores themes of identity, endurance and coexistence, incorporating pattern and movement within form.
I am interested in how unique elements function within part of a larger system. Groupings allude to social behavior, gathering and communication.
How do we determine a collective, while considering fluidity and potential?
Her work is included in Barking Lizards, and has been exhibited at Sideshow, Mishkin Gallery, Exhibit Salon, Southfirst and the artist network.
Drawings are included in Pierogi Flat Files and The Sketchbook Project 2013.
She is a Design Consultant for The Shade Store, and was a college art and design instructor at The Art Institute of New York City.
She holds MFA and MAT degrees from the School of Visual Arts, and a BA from Rutgers University.
